SALVATION
Thank you for logging on to our web sight. May I ask you a personal question? If you were to die today, do you know you would enter God's heaven? Now wait - before you over react - it is a valid question, even if you are not planning to check out anytime soon. Why should God allow you into His perfect heaven when you are not perfect? That's a question I wrestled with until I came to understand what faith is all about. The Bible says - "The just shall live by faith." I knew I was not just (that is sinless). I said things, I did things that were dishonoring to God. What could I do to pay for words that were gone, or for actions that had produced hurt? The answer was nothing. But then I learned that in spite of my badness - God still loved me and to demonstrate how much He loved, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the debt of my guilt by dying on Calvary's cross in my place. Sins can be paid for only by death, and that's where faith comes in - to believe that Jesus died for my sin.
The proof that God was satisfied is seen in that three days later God raised Jesus from the dead - we celebrate that event calling it Easter. Let me give you an important verse from the Bible - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16. Have you heard that verse before? It's true - you can have eternal life in God's heaven by believing in Jesus as your Savior.
Like a friend standing outside your door, Jesus is waiting for you to invite Him into your life. From a sincere heart pray to Him - "Lord, I am a failure, but I believe you died for my sins and I now surrender my life to you. Please come into my heart and save me." The Bible says "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Acts 2:21. If you have called from an honest heart, the promise of God is that you are "now" saved. Let me encourage you to begin reading the Bible every day - you might start reading the New Testament book of Mark and pray every day. (He talks to you from the Bible, you talk to Him by prayer.)
